Our Ultimate Weekend Escape
Upgrading to the 387 completely changed how we experience the weekends. Before this, we had a smaller center console, which was great for fishing but terrible for actual family comfort. The Beach Club wing gives the kids so much room to jump off, while the electric grill makes sunset dinners an absolute breeze.
What really sold us was the layout. The 160-inch L-shaped seating in the cockpit means we can have two other families aboard and never feel cramped. We usually head down to the Keys for the weekend, and having a full V-berth with over 6 feet of headroom means we don’t have to rent a hotel—we just sleep on the water.
The fit and finish is what you’d expect from a much more expensive European yacht, but the outboard configuration (we have the twin Mercury 400s) makes maintenance and shallow-water anchoring so much easier. Highly recommend the 387 to any family looking to seriously upgrade their weekend lifestyle.
